Healthcare Access Program Launched

The campaign today rolled out its community outreach initiative, 'Lagos Health First,' which will see free healthcare clinics operating across all 20 Local Government Areas (LGs) of the state.

The temporary clinics are staffed by volunteer medical professionals and offer free consultations, basic health screenings, vaccinations, and essential medications. The initiative aims to provide immediate relief while highlighting plans for a broader health insurance scheme.

The campaign plans to expand the state-backed health insurance plan, 'Ilera Eko,' to subsidize medical bills for over 1 million vulnerable families. Primary healthcare centers will also receive upgrades to enable 24/7 service delivery.

Thousands of residents have already benefited from the screenings on the first day, showcasing the vital need for decentralized health services.
